I messed with it some more, trying to print that little white space. I had a major disagreement with my printer over the meaning of "pause" and "no cut" and ended up with the printer cutting off part of the scarf, which could be a problem for the printer. so now I need to hem it. then it will still have black smudges on it!daydreamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03562599798631816637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18497023.post-84394879445298581552011-03-15T10:57:51.952-07:002011-03-15T10:57:51.952-07:00Wow, Kayla. I did this successfully with my R2400 Epson, but now i'm really sticking my neck out there using my Epson 4880! this printer goes up to 17inches wide and as long as infinity for all I can tell. I was printing on commecially prepared silk products, but the silk just wasn't the same quality and the performance of important features like a nice clean release of the carrier paper was inconsistant. so i'm working with silk that I have to attach to a carrier paper myself. pictures soon!daydreamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03562599798631816637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18497023.post-18201945174781977502011-03-13T11:50:40.103-07:002011-03-13T11:50:40.103-07:00So let me get this right -- you are printing on si...So let me get this right -- you are printing on silk using your Epson printer???? I...Love your work, Kayla -- and your explaining it. I agree with you -- why not share the process? Guarding or keeping secrets is such a rigid way of being...and that's the opposite of the life's creative force...you can just feel the truth of that. And nothing we do is truly original, it is always built on the back of someone else's material. If there is such a thing as originality, it is those bits and pieces that filter through our perceptions, our history, our character, our emotions. That's the magic.Virginiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15381185614415585450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18497023.post-5425164704432290612011-02-26T17:24:16.624-08:002011-02-26T17:24:16.624-08:00thanks My Mane! the biggest challenge is self impo...thanks My Mane! the biggest challenge is self imposed: i'm kinda done with flowers for a while and this part of Alameda has a lot of gardens!
