Local San Francisco artist from the Sunset District kayla garelick, of daydreaming arts, will be participating in the "Abstractions, Color & Texture" art exhibition at Aurora Colors Gallery. kayla's piece "one leaf" is an example of her ability to use the camera lens to create abstract re-interpretations of the world around us. kayla's work, inspired by her fight with leukemia, creates a sense of awe for the details she sees. Her subjects are the from nearby Ocean Beach and Fort Funston, where Kayla transforms the ordinary to the extraordinary. Don't miss this show!

This opening was amazing! First it was packed! so many people coming and going! I had several nice conversation with other artists and my family came, even my 16 year old daughter who was impressed at the class act - you know a "real" gallery! The other art was superb. Sure there were pieces i did not like as much as some others but it was all well executed, great colors and many different materials used. I particularly like one that was fused glass with alot of red. It was raining like crazy and yet a ton of people came out. because i wasn't driving i even had a glass of wine!
